First Manassas (Bull Run) Outcome
The outcome of this battle was completely the opposte of what most people thought it would be. Many thought that th battle would end early, but they were completely wrong. People gathered from near and far to watch this battle be fought. During the war, General Bee and Bartlow had died and General Jackson and Kirby Smith were wounded. The South had fewer casualities because General Beauregard had only used 55% of his total army. The Confederacy of the United States (the South) had won the first battle (the First Manassas), causing the North to head back home with their heads down. Both sides could see that the other was serious about the war and could tell it would not be over anytime soon.
